Terms of use and subscription
These terms govern access to Yoki, use of the service and any subscription offered in the application.
Last updated: September 3, 2026.
1. Acceptance and commercial availability
By creating an account or using Yoki, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy.
Yoki is currently in a pre-commercial phase. Full business information and consumer mediator details will be added before any paid subscription becomes available.
2. Access and account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login method confidential.
- Yoki is open to everyone. A child uses the service and makes any purchase with the authorization and under the responsibility of a parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for actions performed through your account, except for fraudulent use not attributable to you.
3. How Yoki works
Yoki helps organize recipes, plan meals, prepare grocery lists, track available ingredients and import cooking content. Some functions may be free and others may require a subscription.
The applicable features, limits and benefits are those displayed in the application at the time of use or purchase.
4. Recipes and imported content
- You retain your rights in content you create.
- You grant Yoki only the technical rights required to store, transform, translate and display that content as part of the service.
- You may import or share only content you are entitled to use. A public URL does not mean that content is free of copyright.
- Automatically generated, extracted or adapted recipes may contain errors. You must check the result before using it.
5. Cooking, allergies and nutrition
Yoki is an organization tool and does not provide medical, nutritional or health advice. Allergen, quantity, timing, temperature and nutritional information may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Before preparing or eating a dish, check the ingredients, labels, allergies, hygiene, cooking and storage rules appropriate to your situation. Seek advice from a healthcare professional for medical questions.
6. Prohibited uses
- Using Yoki for an unlawful or fraudulent purpose or to infringe another person’s rights.
- Attempting to bypass security, access limits or subscription rights.
- Disrupting the service, extracting its data at scale or performing reverse engineering prohibited by law.
- Importing malicious or unlawful content or content you are not entitled to use.
7. App Store subscriptions
- The price, term, any trial and included features are shown in the application and confirmed before purchase.
- Payment and automatic renewal are managed by Apple under the terms of the App Store account used.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings. Uninstalling Yoki or deleting your Yoki account does not cancel the Apple subscription.
- Apple reviews App Store refund requests under its own rules.
8. Availability and changes
Yoki may be interrupted for maintenance, security, network or provider-related reasons. We aim to restore service within a reasonable time but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The service may evolve. A feature may be changed or removed for technical, legal or product reasons without removing mandatory rights attached to an active purchase.
9. Intellectual property
Yoki and its own elements—including its brand, software, interface, text, illustrations and original content—remain protected. Users receive only a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the application under these terms.
10. Suspension, deletion and ending use
You may delete your account at any time in the application. Deletion is immediate and irreversible for active data attached to the account.
Yoki may limit or suspend an account where necessary for security, fraud, unlawful use or a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, the user may submit observations by email.
11. Liability
Each party is liable for direct loss for which it is responsible within the limits permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Yoki is not responsible for third-party website content, a recipe imported by a user, an interruption outside its reasonable control or a decision made without checking cooking, nutrition or allergen information.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to Yoki or the law. A material change affecting a registered user will be notified by an appropriate means. Where new consent is required, it will be requested.
13. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence.
If a problem arises, contact Yoki first to seek an amicable solution. Before paid subscriptions become available, this section will be completed with details of the relevant consumer mediator. The competent courts are those designated by applicable law.
